Fairtrade offers a better future for many people living in poor conditions.
The trademark and it's logo is well-known for coffee, banana's and chocolate. However cotton is another natural grown base material that we daily use.
Steady and fair prices can make the production of cotton a reliable source of income, especially in combination with other crops. Therefore, our cotton is not only biological but also Max Havelaar Fair Trade certified.
We work together with farmer corporations, who cultivates on a biological base, and produces organic cotton. These farmers receive a premium for their biological cultivation and a minimum Fair Trade price for their organic cotton.
This organizational structure secures fair wages and a better living for the farmers.
Besides, local villages benefit from the Fair Trade, due to the premium paid for the “village development fund”. In this way we contribute to local development projects, democratically chosen by the farmers.
